Author Janette B. Carter receives national honors
Online PR News – 10-July-2016 – New York Author and inspirational speaker, Janette B. Carter has received one of the nations highest literary honors, her publicist announced today. Her book, “The Happy Retirement” has been named among “The Best of Summer Reading, 2016.”
“The book has proven to be a predictable gem and certainly deserves the avid reader’s interest. It’s an inspiring read for both retirees, and retirees-to-be,” stated Fran Briggs, publicist to Carter. "Janette expresses gratitude for the honor. The Best of Summer Reading list gives tribute to several authors for their exceptional contribution. She is thrilled to stand among them."
Genres from the annual list include fiction, non-fiction, mystery, romance, children’s literature, spiritual, adventure, urban literature and sci-fi. Featured are authors who are dynamically versed, at the forefront in their genre, and have mastered the art of engaging or entertaining their readers,
A recent study found that fewer seniors are enjoying their retirement years. Only 40 percent of retirees find their retirement "moderately satisfying," and more than 10 percent report that retirement is "not at all satisfying."
Carter says it became clear that very few retirees are mastering the happiness part of retirement. That prompted her to take her arsenal of knowledge, resources, ideas, and inspiration and create The Happy Retirement. Her aim was to challenge retirees to empower and inspire themselves every day, and in any kind of situation. She didn’t miss.
The book features creative, play flow and workflow options designed to change the way people look at retirement. Perhaps what’s most interesting is that the book is catching the attention of people who are at least 30 years from retiring.
