Idaho Agent Don Wixom Releases Real Estate Market Report

Idaho REALTOR Don Wixom released his annual real estate market report identifying statistics and trends.

Online PR News – 20-February-2018 – BOISE, Ida. Idaho REALTOR Don Wixom released his annual real estate market report, identifying statistics and trends to help home buyers and sellers understand market conditions.

Average Sales Price

The report shows steady price growth for real estate in Idaho, with Canyon County homes averaging 9%, with a slightly more robust 10.94% growth in Ada County.

"Five years of data shows a steady increase in all parts of the Treasure Valley," Don Wixom said. "This makes the Boise real estate market, including surrounding areas, one of the most stable markets in recent years for real estate investors."

New Construction % of Market

While new construction declined from 2013 to 2015, the report shows increasing homebuilder confidence as they picked up the pace dramatically from 2015 to 2017.

Months of Inventory (Supply)

Months of inventory, defined by how many months it would take to sell every home currently on the market if no more homes were to go up for sale, dropped dramatically from 2013 to 2017. Canyon County showed a peak of 4.25 months inventory in 2013, dropping to 1.8 months in 2017, while Ada County peaked at about 3 months in 2012 and dropped to 1.5 months in 2017.

Wixom says market statistics look strong for the Treasure Valley Idaho real estate market.

"While no one can predict exactly what’s going to happen in 2018, the tax cuts have generated some optimism that the economy will keep growing throughout the year," he said. "Buyers and sellers wanting to make sense of the statistics can contact our team for personalized consulting."
